Globalization, Local Development and Emerging Powers. The Role of Innovation Policies. The conference, organised by the Department of Economics of the University of Bologna, Italy, is intended to disentangle the role of innovation policies in exploring opportunities and threats posed by globalisation processes for local production systems, with particular reference to Emerging Powers (EPs). Deadline for papers to be submitted for discussion during the conference is Wednesday the 31st of December, 2008.
