The Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI) projectGood Governance is one of the strong points of LED policies, as well as key element in the process of LED. WGI is a World Bank initiative that compiles aggregate and individual governance indicators for 212 countries and territories over the period 1996–2007. These data are organized by the Worldbank in six dimensions and gathered from surveys provided by a number of survey institutes, think tanks, non-governmental organizations, and international organizations in both industrial and developing countries collecting views on the quality of governance by a large number of enterprises, citizens and experts.
